About the BCT

 

 

The BCT is a de facto non-profit association of volunteers, it has no legal personality and has as its prime objectives:

• Creating a link between Belgium and Thailand;
• The promotion of social and cultural contacts between Belgians living in Thailand;
• The promotion of social and cultural contacts between Belgians and Thai people, both in Thailand and in Belgium;
• The promotion of social contacts between Belgians and other nationalities living in Thailand;
• The promotion, organization and sponsoring of a wide range of cultural, social and sporting activities for, but not limited to, all Belgians in Thailand; participation of Thais shall be encouraged;
• Reaching out to the different sub-groups of the Belgian community in Thailand on all levels, including the organization of diversified activities;
• Making a contribution to Thai society by supporting local charities, or by organizing charity events;
• Promotion of the image of Belgium in Thailand;
• Inform all Belgians in Thailand, both members and non-members, about the BCT activities;
• Foster good relations between its members;
• Maintain good relations with the Belgian Embassy and cooperate where possible;
• Provide, where possible, information and reasonable assistance to Belgians living in Thailand or wanting to move to Thailand, without, however, being a substitute for the official channels such as the Royal Belgian Embassy.
